A FAST-PACED brand of football took the wind out of the Goulburn Workers Bulldogs in their first match for the season.
A high penalty count and excessive defensive work did not help the home side as the Tuggeranong Bushrangers ran in nine tries to one.
The Dogs looked promising in the early stages as Tuggeranong played a cautious brand of football testing the Dogs before completely dominating them.
Captain-coach Sean Rutgerson opened the account for the bushrangers in the 15th minute after the ball was spread wide. Brant Lumley broke through the Dogs' line and found Rutgerson in support to score. Ben Nicoll added the extras to give the visitors an early lead.
