Penalties hurt Dogs

Tuggeranong Bushrangers 16

A PENALTY from the kick-off summed up the night for the Workers Bulldogs U18s as they fell to a 6-point loss on Friday.

It was an arm wrestle of a match between the Dogs and the Tuggeranong Bushrangers, with the 18s unlucky not to salvage a draw.

A high penalty count, plenty of defence and little ball all factored into the Dogs' loss but despite this, coach Gary Price is happy with the side's defensive performance.

"We'd worked on it at training (defence) and they were good, they tackled really well," he said.
