Dogs bite back

19/05/2008 10:50:00 AM

Workers Bulldogs 20

West Belconnen Warriors 6

A QUIET Bulldogs outfit took to the field at the Workers Arena yesterday not for lack of enthusiasm but focus for the task at hand.

After a thrashing last week, the Dogs were out to make amends against the West Belconnen Warriors.

From the whistle, the Dogs showed good urgency and communication in defence to keep the Warriors contained while a similar practice was on display in attack.

The side made good early inroads in the Warriors attack but a lack of support play and poor ball control prevented the Dogs from adding any extra points to their halftime total, with the sides locked at 6-all at the break.
