Students come out to play
9/06/2008 | WORKERS Arena came alive on Friday with schools across the region participating in the Gilbert/Croker Cup. It is the second year the event has run in Goulburn and after 11-13 teams last year entries for the competition doubled this year, with 22 teams competing.
9/06/2008 | A PENALTY from the kick-off summed up the night for the Workers Bulldogs U18s as they fell to a 6-point loss on Friday. It was an arm wrestle of a match between the Dogs and the Tuggeranong Bushrangers, with the 18s unlucky not to salvage a draw.
6/06/2008 | WHILE other divisions have the week off, the Canberra U18s competition continues to rumble along. The Goulburn Workers Bulldogs 18s will play under lights tonight against the Tuggeranong Bushrangers at Walker Park in Yass.
4/06/2008 | THE Taralga Tigers travelled to Harden on Saturday to take on the Red Devils at Roberts Park for the first ever time. After struggling for players in first division last year they moved down to second division where clubs with only one team are given an opportunity to play against each other.
28/05/2008 | OVER 60 ACT and Southern NSW schoolboys recently played in the annual selection trials for a chance to play in the ACT open schoolboys side. The selection trials usually involve a match between Associated Southern Colleges (ASC) and Combined Secondary Colleges (CSC) but this year the ASC team was split into two sides allowing selectors a greater talent pool to draw from.
