Wilkins bound for US: Aussie gridiron team on tour

GRIDIRON may not be heavily associated with Australia but for Goulburn's David Wilkins, it is a sport in which he excels.

This year is Wilkins third playing the sport, and for the second time he will represent Australia as part of the U19 Australian Outback squad.

The Australian side is set to tour America for two-weeks, leaving on August 16.

"We're doing a tour for two weeks where we'll travel a bit around California and play a division one college and then we're playing, on different days, three high schools," Wilkins said.
