WE have landed in China and things are moving at a hectic pace. We went through a wall of security before making our way into the village.
The village is a sweet place, it is seriously like the circus. There are massively tall people, incredibly short people, really wide and really thin people and people of all colours, races and religions.
The Aussie team are all in the village so it is fairly normal to sit next to Grant Hackett, Stephanie Rice, Lauren Jackson, Lleyton Hewitt or any of a number of prolific sporting personalities. Other people that we have caught up with have been Rafael Nadal, Roger Federer, Kobe Bryant and Lebron James.
The atmosphere here is building, with a one for all, all for one type feel amongst the Australian team - no matter what the sport is. It is a truly unique and great feeling.
In our spare time it has been great to sit down have a yarn to Steve Waugh, John Eales and Laurie Lawrence. These guys are always on hand to chew the fat on any subject at all. Basically they are just here to help with the atmosphere and keep people relaxed.
