CHILLY conditions greeted night tennis players last week, but never the less all players turned up to do battle.

Men's A1 Tristripes team of Stewart Martin and Glen McDermott have performed well since coming up from A2 division. They recorded a win over Peter Zantis and John Reardon 2 sets 12 games to 1 set 13 games, getting the opening set 6-3. Peter and John rallied for the second 6-0, before Glen and Stewart got home 6-4.

Mick Gray and Trent Tapper defeated Michael Upfield and partner 2 set 17 games to 1 set 14 games. Richard Hailston and Paul Howes won over Mick James and John Cousins 3 sets 18 games to 11 games. Back in form, Richard was well supported by Paul who covered the court well. John and Mick both played well and lots of long rallies were played in an enjoyable game.
