Triathlon team records top five finish

GOULBURN Triathlon Club was well represented in Canberra over the weekend with nine athletes competing in the gruelling Sri Chinmoy Triple Triathlon.

This testing event comprises of a tag team relay with three off road triathlons back to back. This event covers approximately 150 kilometres and takes around 9-16 hours for most competitors to complete.

The course weaves its way throughout Canberra utilising its three magnificent lakes for the swim legs, Lake Ginninderra, Lake Burley Griffin and Lake Tuggeranong. For the three run and mountain bike legs it snakes its way up and over all the high points of the ACT landscape including Black Mountain, Mt Majura, Mt Ainslie and the challenging Mt Stromlo.
