Strikers' second half fight back

2/07/2008 10:28:00 AM
STFA Strikers 4

Brindabella Blues 2

AN improved second half with three unanswered goals overturned a very worrying situation for the STFA Strikers when they hosted Brindabella Blues on Saturday.

The Blues came to Goulburn needing a result to break into the top four and on recent form would be a tough opponent. The Strikers however were coming from two games against weak opposition. They were visibly affected by the lack of proper competition taking a while to get going against a spirited Blues outfit. Numerous Goulburn supporters showed up for the occasion making the most of the great sunny winter day. But the Strikers had their fans worried, as their first half display did not match the hype of previous weeks.
