In a rain-interrupted match, the play was closely contested with Ken leading at the 31st end, 28-24. The next three ends saw Ken claim five shots to take the match 33-24. Bill, a relatively new player, showed great consistency and will only get better with more match play.

The final of the minor singles will be between Doug Elliot and Ken Croker.
