Challenge to lift intensity for Foxes

8/08/2008 1:07:00 PM
INTENSITY can be the difference between winning and losing but with games against lower ranked sides the STFA Strikers have struggled to move out of first gear.

After cruising to a comfortable 7-1 win against a Woden team reduced to eight men the Strikers face another tough test in getting up for their clash with cellar dwellers Belwest tomorrow.

However, if the team plays at a lower intensity, coach Carlo Aliffi said he doesn't mind, as long as they come away with the desired result.

"I always try and get the boys to focus on the job at hand but it is very hard to lift the intensity when the teams are so far apart from each other," he said.
