Don't be chicken, duck into pound

2/07/2008 10:26:00 AM
THE Goulburn Pound (companion animal facility) is filled with very cute dogs and cats up for adoption, but that's not all they have.

They often get horses, pigs, cattle, sheep, goats, chickens and the occasional duck or turkey.

It costs $200 to adopt a cat or dog, which includes microchipping, registration, vaccinations, desexing and worming.

Lately the adoption rates at the pound have been very high.

Dogs, that aren't adopted while they are at the pound, are usually sent to the RSPCA in Wollongong, so that they can find a new home.

For the full story, please see Wednesday's Goulburn Post, available from our front office in Auburn St, or at all leading newsagencies across the Goulburn area.
