Sally shown the door: Quick dip earns wrath of pool staff

A WOMAN who was ejected from Goulburn pool amid claims she was running an unauthorised water fitness program has lashed out council saying she was only swimming with friends.

Sally Beresford, who operates a fitness company called Metaqua in the Southern Highlands, said she was asked to leave the Goulburn Aquatic Centre on Sunday.

"I was not conducting a class," Ms Beresford said.

"I car-pooled there with three friends to have a swim and I was stopped by a staff member, who told me he believed I was conducting a class, which I wasn't."

She said it was a coincidence that a woman she had taught six months ago happened to be in the pool at the time using her program.

"A lady from Canyonleigh, whom I taught six months ago, came into the pool and started using my program. She does this once a week and she was as shocked to see me as I was her," she said.
