Class act Liz retires as M'am

AFTER 14 years, Liz Lipscombe is putting down her chalk and cane, and retiring from her teaching position at the 1880s Classroom.

Mrs Lipscombe retired from the classes conducted at the Old Brewery last Monday, June 30, after holding a final four-hour class.

"It's my last teaching day, but it's not the last day for the school," Mrs Lipscombe said.

"This is the 14th year for the classroom, so it's a fair run. We are going to continue the school. There's a plan, but it's not quite finished yet.
