Candidate opposes airport sale decision

GOULBURN Mulwaree Council candidate Damien Leer has addressed councillors over his disappointment at the pending sale of the airport.

Mr Leer presented his formal submission to the gathered councillors at their general meeting held last Tuesday, June 17, at 6pm.

"Council has actively neglected this important facility for along time now," Mr Leer said.

"But even in spite of this the airport could easily be turning a profit - or breaking even at a minimum - if council was prepared to run it properly in the first place.
